One of the biggest names in tango, Horacio Godoy commands attention and respect from tango aficionados from around the globe. Besides being a legendary maestro and a dancer, Horacio Godoy has an encyclopedic knowledge of tango music and tango history.
For years, Godoy has headlined in over 150 of the most prestigious festivals in over 40 countries. Also, he has graced the stage as cast member of the “Tango Argentine” show, Tanguera, and Forever Tango. He is famously known as the director, teacher, DJ and organizer of La Viruta Tango School and Milonga ~ biggest tango school and milonga in the last 25 years with over 500 students per week. Horacio is also synonymous with masterful musicality having Dj-ed for over 33 years since 1991…more than 5000 nights of milongas. In addition, he has also produced tango CDs.

Maricel Giacomini, in 2016 became the Metropolitan Vice Championship in Tango Salon, and in 2008 won the World Vice Tango Championship in Stage Tango. For many years Maricel has been performing in tango shows in Buenos Aires such as, Cafe Tortoni, La Cumparsita, Tango Palace and Catulo Tango. As a maestra, she has worked in the most important school in Buenos Aires: Carlos Copello’s Tango School (2005-2007) and Argentinian Tango School (2008-2009).
Effective 2009 she started teaching with Horacio Godoy at La Viruta Tango Club. In 2022, Horacio & Maricel formed their tango partnership and since then they have traveled together teaching, Djing, and performing at the most prestigious tango festivals in the world.
